2. Sod is Heavy – Each pallet will weigh in between 1600 – 2200 pounds. Divide that by 50 rolls. The more rain the heavier each pallet will be.
3. Follow up with all crews – Make sure you ask questions for each crew leading up to your sod installation. If the tree stump company leaves mulch from doing work, make sure they are removing the leftovers. If you have a dirt crew walk the entire property before they leave. Most sod crews will expect final grade to be completed. Don’t expect your sod crew to do work you did not pay them to do or work you already paid someone else to do. Ask plenty of questions.
