When purchasing sod in you will want to make sure you are doing the right things to ensure your sod has everything needed to thrive.
1) Have a Solid Plan for Installation – Sod is heavy and it is very hot outside. A solid plan will help you complete your project faster and easier
2) Be Ready To Water – You sod will need plenty of water once rolled out. Extreme temperatures make it hard for anything to survive outside. If you just recently purchased sod or are planning to make sure you are ready to water heavy your first two weeks following installation.
3) Stay off Your New Sod – Allow your sod to get completely rooted before you regularly walk on the sod you will be laying out. You will know your sod is rooted when the edges will no longer come up.
4) Find Help – Sod is heavy make sure your plan is catering to laying the sod out the same day you purchase
